Woodward Industrial Disease Representation
Clinical negligence (medical negligence)
The NHS and private healthcare providers usually provide a good service. Unfortunately, there are times when treatment can go disastrously wrong. For this reason, money is set aside to pay compensation costs whether through insurance companies or the NHSLA. Therefore, bringing a claim for clinical negligence won’t affect the healthcare budget.
Woodward have successfully dealt with both small and serious clinical negligence claims. Serious claims include:
• A fatal case where there was a significant delay in diagnosing and treating lung cancer.• A case where there was a significant delay in diagnosing and treating HIV.
An example of a smaller case was where a nurse prescribed an incorrect dose of a cream and our client suffered temporarily from dermatitis as a result.
As a result of claims being brought, Woodward have received letters from healthcare providers explaining that additional training has been given to staff and that systems have been changed. Hopefully, this will result in similar mistakes not being made again.
Woodward are happy to consider accepting instructions in this type of claim. Woodward will usually need to obtain your medical records before detailed advice is given.
