Woodward Industrial Disease Representation
Contact Dermatitis.
Contact dermatitis is a type of eczema triggered by contact with a substance. A rash may occur on areas of the body that have come into contact with the substance that irritates the skin or causes an allergic reaction. Blisters may develop. The condition usually improves and, eventually, resolves once exposure to the substance stops. One may feel uncomfortable or self-conscious as a result of the condition.
In a workplace, one may be exposed to substances whether as a result of work processes or as a result of cleaning agents and this may cause an employee or employees to suffer from contact dermatitis.
It is not always straightforward proving that a substance at work caused the contact dermatitis and that the employer was negligent or breached the duty of care that they owe to the employee.
Therefore, it is important to instruct a Solicitor who is experienced in handling this type of claim. Woodward are happy to consider accepting instructions in this type of claim.
